We are saved by trusting God ♥ {post 1 of 2}

So its been a rough few months for The Williams Family…since January we have had 5 possibilities to adopt. We accepted each one with open hearts and open minds.

(This is the first situation we were involved with. There are 4 more…)

On Friday January 27th at 9:30am we got a call from a friend that there was a potential adoption situation in SC.  After a few phone calls and emails we were chosen by the birthmother and her family. We then learned she was in labor and could deliver at any moment. After some running around aimlessly we got packed (mostly dirty clothes lol) and ready to leave. As we were leaving a text came through telling us the baby had been born! We kissed each other and we hopped in the truck and headed to SC at around 6pm. After arriving at the hospital at 10:30 pm we met the birthmother “T” and laid our eyes on the most beautiful little girl. As soon as we saw her we fell deeply in love! Holding her felt so right and she was absolutely precious… We were so excited to bring Kai a Baby Sister home!
Our prayers for a place to stay while we were in SC were answered when a friend contacted her pastor in Easley, SC. He offered to put us up in a hotel while we were here! Amazing this man didn’t know us and this friend is from an online mommy group!
Saturday morning we filled out birth certificate information and agreed on her name with T. Everything seemed just right. We went to eat some lunch in the cafeteria and when we returned the mood was completely different in the room. Many family members had begun to arrive and at one point everyone was asked to leave the room.
We later learned that she was promised a place to stay and support from her brother and cousin. We never saw her again she was too upset to talk to us. Chad and I walked hand in hand to our truck and headed back to our hotel with heavy hearts.
If we have learned anything from that weekend it would be;

♥”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.” ♥
Proverbs 3:5-7d

♥”We are saved by trusting. And trusting means looking forward to getting something we don’t yet have – for a man who already has something doesn’t need to hope and trust that he will get it. But if we must keep trusting God for something that hasn’t happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and confidently.” ♥
Romans 8:24-25

This sweet little Angel was not meant to join our family… Our hearts were shattered but we continue to pray for T and this perfect little baby girl as they begin their journey together.
